Sick of the Challenge...

So I loved the photo challenge at the beginning but over time it got old and well....as you see I forgot about it!  The hubs has been on underways for the last couple of weeks and since he has been home you can imagine we have been spending a lot of time together!  That could be another excuse for not blogging lately... but enough excuses, honestly I just suck at challenges that are more than 10 days long!

However, today is a different story since it is Sunday and duty day.  Sunday is a day that we spend together but more than that it is a day for worship.  Since Tyler wasn't able to attend church this morning I was lucky enough to have a friend who wanted to go along with me!  We also took Tyler lunch so no dinner date tonight for this duty day.  :(  That is okay because at least Tyler will be home all week and there will be no underway. :D

As many of people know there has been a lot going on lately, we still don't have orders for what life is bringing us next.  In fact, we are still waiting to hear if Tyler will be able to extend his time in the Navy.  Hopefully this week will bring closure to all of this waiting and unanswered questions that have been hanging over our heads for the last 3 months.  Trust me as soon as I find out what is to come I will let everyone know.  :)

I know it will work out in God's time & so we wait.

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

This is a dead giveaway.. I couldn't imagine my life without Tyler.. Even though we have to spend a lot of time apart I couldn't imagine if we didn't have the relationship we have.   God has truly blessed me with a wonderful husband that I couldn't imagine life without! <3

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist

Since moving to San Diego we began attending The Rock Church.  The Katinas come to the church several times a year and they are AMAZING!  Truly men of God who make worship so great!
Check them out on www.thekatinas.com.
They will be at The Rock this Sunday!  We can't wait!

Day 12 - A picture of something you love

Something I love is the Bible.. :)  It is a love note from our creator, how can you not love it?!  There is advice for everything in the Bible.  It defines right and wrong, good and bad, in black and white... it is our guide book to life! I <3 it!

Days 10 & 11

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the craziest things with

The person I do or have done the craziest things with would have to be my cousin Doniel, to the left of me... Since we don't live close anymore it has been a while since we have caused any chaos.... but back in the day!
We used to drive my jetta into huge snow piles in parking lots... it was HILARIOUS! The list could go on and on... but you get the gist...

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate

This is the best picture I could find of the number one thing I hate... ANXIETY!  It is soooo annoying and can control your life.  It is a sickness that can make you any kind of sick, headaches, stomach aches, shortness of breath... it is all just ridiculous.  I hate anxiety!  BLAH!

Day 8 & 9... ehhh behind a day..

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh (How about a video...even better!)
This was part of a video I put together for Tyler when he was deployed and since my g-pa can't hear he says some pretty funny things! Haha.. he always makes me laugh!

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most
Tyler has been here for me through a lot.. Even though we have been married for only 3 years it feels like a lifetime of being together... Through everything he loves me and treats me like a princess.  I would have never thought I would be so blessed with such an awesome best friend!  He has been such a blessing!

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

I have to say my wedding ring one of my most treasured items... However, I do have several other very important possessions... But this is the most important gift the Mr. has given me.  With it he asked me to journey through life with him, together forever.  To be his wife. To follow him where ever life may take us. To change my name.  To have his children... all of this and just with a ring....It isn't just a ring though, it isn't just diamonds... it is a commitment I made to the Mr. to spend the rest of my life with him and him only...  I <3 it!

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

So I have thought about what picture to put on this post all day... I have come to the conclusion that if I could trade places with someone for a day I would choose every person who questions my life and what I do... Taking this question from another perspective I would want them to see what it is like to be me instead of wanting to know what it is like to be someone else.  I want them to see what it is like to live a military life.  The challenges, the rewards, everything, raw... because it is a completely different lifestyle than most.  Our life isn't "normal," it isn't what everyone thinks it is.. there are more challenges and more rewards than you can see from the outside... If I could trade places for a day with anyone it would be any one of those people who question my actions and feelings... I want them to really see what it is like to be in my shoes...

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

This is one of my favorite pictures & memories.  It was taken at our second homecoming, but the first as a married couple.  Homecomings are by far my favorite memories in the whole world!  There are so many overwhelming feelings of excitement, anxiousness, joy and everything else that mesh together for an extremely amazing moment!  It is an indescribable feeling, no one can ever imagine how amazing it really is until they have to go through deployment and then experience the joy of homecoming.

I hold these memories and thoughts close because I feel blessed to have experienced these feelings that many have not.

Where is the time going...

Wow... I can't tell you how many times I thought that it was already April today.  I don't know if I am hoping it is already April or my days are just so run together that I don't know what day it is.  I feel like I am constantly wishing the days away because Tyler is gone or we are waiting to find out news.  As far as news goes, we are still waiting for orders and have no idea if we will be going or staying.  Gosh, I feel like I am going on and on about nothing.. I am going to have to pick up a fun blog challenge soon!  I will get on that right now.. :)

What is in a friend...

Friends are hard to come by today.  Wait, let me rephrase that.. GOOD friends are hard to come by these days.  I know that it comes with the territory of being here and there and not ever living in the same place forever but I am realizing that it is hard to know who is a good friend and who isn't.  There are so many people in the world and that you come in contact with everyday how do you depict who is real and who isn't?  It is like being in a room of people with a blindfold on and hoping you connect with the right person.  We have been very blessed since we have been back though.  We have met a lot of new people in the housing that we live in and I might say we have found some really good friends.  I am hoping that we are going to be able to stay here for our next orders... (been praying and will find out on the 4th or 5th)  :)  We have been patiently waiting to see where the Navy will take us next.. knowing that God is ultimately the one who chooses where we go.  Anyway, I just wanted to say I feel pretty blessed today that we have made some good friends who I feel will be around for a while. :)  I hope everyone else feels as blessed as us in this department! Enjoy your day!

Friday Friday Friday.. did I mention it is FRIDAY?!

Tyler and I are always extremely excited for Friday nights at All Married Cafe!  Tonight is the night &  it is always so much fun!  We meet several new couples every week & it is great to get out!  So I am already dressed and my hair curled we are ready to go... well I am anyway!

This week I feel accomplished.  I got a lot of paperwork done and phone calls made.  Now I have time to spend doing what ever I want... Like cleaning, laundry and cooking. :)  I really do enjoy being a housewife.  I am still hoping though that Tyler will get off work a little early today so that we can hang out before AMC tonight... Also because he has duty on Sunday, blah, but at least they are letting him go to church because Nick V will be there!  If you haven't heard of him you should check this out...

Getting Caught Up

So like promised here are some pictures of the monogram letters Tyler and I made.. Haha.. Tyler is such a perfectionist that he ended up doing the whole project!  They turned out great though, I knew they would if I just let him just run with it.  However, the first try he accidentally cut the J out backwards... But we ran and got another piece of paper and the second try was a success... Trust me I had to laugh when we both realized that he had cut it out the wrong way.   :D  I have done things like that several times when sewing.. It is annoying but always makes me laugh...

Now that we are done with that project I have been working on more bows to sell.  Still nothing on my fb page but I am actually going to take some to my *NEW* and fabulous hair stylist's salon and sell them there. :)  I am pretty stoked about that actually. :)

My to-do list has been slimmed down but I am wondering how in the world everyone has time to deal with paperwork for everything!  I feel like a dang secretary by the time Tyler gets home from work.  It seems like I am on the phone with at least 5 people a day and sending emails several times a day as well.  I guess I do let my OCD get to me though... I have do to everything so organized that it takes a little longer than maybe it should.

Well I have been up since 5. (I get up to make breakfast for Tyler before he goes to work.)  I am dressed and ready to tackle the day.  I am considering not watching TV while doing everything today to see if it cuts down on my time significantly.  I will let you know how that goes... Hope everyone has a good day.

Challege flop

So I have realized that at this point I am not a good blogger.  I began a challenge and didn't even make it to the second day.  Wow... Lame!  I have been busy with getting my hair done (check it out!), sitting for a friend and trying to take care of this ever growing list of things that need to be completed.   Tyler and I have also nearly completed the monogram letters.  All we have to do now is clear coat them... :)  They look good so far!  Well onto the ever growing list I mentioned earlier.  BLAHHHH.....  Back to blogging later!

30 Day Blog Challenge (Day 1)

This was a picture taken before the ship party in 2009.

Today was very uneventful.  After a morning of watching tv and making several bows for my new venture we finally got around and went into town.  I had to pick up a new curtain from Target and a sheet of scrapbook paper from Micheal's.   (Tyler and I are making some monogram letters for some decor in the house... Pictures to come shortly.)
Samantha, a friends daughter, is staying over tonight so after dinner we will be dueling each other on the Wii Fit!  It is always fun when kids are around the house, for now we will just borrow a friend's until we decide we want some of our own. :)  Well enough about my day I better get to making dinner, did I mention I am making chili to top off this cool weather we have been having?  Yum... Well off to the kitchen.

BTW check out my new page on FB, Homemade by Jamie, but excuse the fact that it is still in the works.

In the beginnning...

Hello Friends!  I am Jamie Robinson, a young Military Wife, a Christian and on my way to being a blogger.  I am a 20 year old stay at home wife who dabbles in selling The Pampered Chef, simply to feed my addiction.  Being at home to spend time with my husband has been the top priority for the first couple years of our marriage.  Now that life is changing it is time to get my education back on track and begin making my own path.  We'll see how that unravels.  My husband is in the Navy aboard the USS Peleliu which has us stationed here in San Diego, California.  We love it here and have hopes of staying but are waiting to see if life is about to take us somewhere new.  Our families are back in Missouri and Arkansas so keeping in touch with them is easy thanks to Skype and Facebook!  I love me some time on Skype with my family.  Who knows they may even become followers on here. :)  Feel free to leave comments on all of my posts, I would love some feedback.
